The QUANTUM® Master Control Unit

The QUANTUM® Monitor is normally located in an office or control room. Although the Monitor can be located up to 1000 ft [3 048 m] away from the Control Panel, keep in mind that starting, calibrating and servicing the Dryer will require routinely walking between the Monitor and Control Panel / Dryer. Take precautions that the Monitor is in an indoor area where it is protected from physical damage and exposure to elements of other dangers that could void the Warranty. If wall mounting is desired, the Customer must supply adequate supports. Controller locations should be planned in detail with your installation provider before installing the Dryer.

The Monitor operates the system through QUANTUM® V4 Software. It displays a graph of incoming and outgoing moistures and has a scroll-back feature.

An optional modem helps the QUANTUM® system provide verbal update reports and call the user to alert of a Dryer shutdown and its cause. It can also aid with downloading the Controller’s entire memory to another computer for reports or diagnostic purposes, with Q-Host software.
Q-Host is supplied on a CD with every Monitor.

The Monitor comes with 2.5 feet [76.2 cm] of communication cable in the back of the unit, ready to connect to the Control Panel at the Dryer. The Customer must provide the cable between the Monitor and Control Panel, as distances will vary. The Manufacturer specifies 18 ga. 2-conductor shielded communications cable, recommended from Belden, #BELDEN-8760. This may be purchased locally or from Brock, Part Number 2517-00186.
