SQ Overview

Brock Grain Systems produces over 34 different models of low profile Dryers for both farm and commercial use. Safe operation is BROCK’s number-one priority when designing products. A choice of drying modes is offered, from single-mode operation to multiple-mode operation. All SQ Dryers can also be operated in Batch Mode using either the SPECTRUM® or QUANTUM® Controller.

SQD series: full heat, single-plenum Dryer which operates in one drying mode: Full Heat - Single Zone.

SQM series: two-zone, full-heat Dryer with two plenums that can operate at the same temperature or two different temperatures, depending on the adjustment of the gas valves and splitter panel. M models operate in three (3) modes:

• Modified Full Heat - Single Zone
• Pressure Heat - Two Zone
• Pressure Heat / Pressure Cool - Two Zone

SQE series: two-zone Dryer with two plenums. It can operate in four (4) different drying/cooling modes:

• Modified Full Heat - Single Zone
• Pressure Heat - Two Zone
• Pressure Heat / Pressure Cool - Two Zone
• Pressure Heat / Vacuum Cool - Two Zone

SQA series: two-zone Dryer with two plenums. Its Hot Air Return Ducts (HARDs), when coupled with suction cooling, will further improve the Dryer’s energy efficiency. It can operate in five (5) different drying/cooling modes:

• Modified Full Heat - Single Zone
• Pressure Heat - Two Zone
• Pressure Heat / Pressure Cool - Two Zone
• Pressure Heat / Vacuum Cool - Two Zone
• Pressure Heat / Vacuum Cool - Two Zone with HARDs (Hot Air Return Ducts)

Features of SUPERB® SQ Series Dryers

• Exclusive variable-width Grain Column: a narrower upper grain column allows moisture-saturated drying air to escape, drying more effectively than a larger holding capacity with a wider grain column.
• Same components for any length Dryer, in 4' [1 219] increments
• Single-phase models up to 30 HP; 3-Phase models available
• Staged batch or continuous flow
• Full Flamewall Burner with stainless steel baffles: provides more grid-type square footage of shorter/safer flame surface for maximum efficiency.
• SUPER-EDGE™ 9'' [229] Auger flighting (fill system) provides a 50% increase in thickness at the major wear area.
• Reduction of emissions is achieved by reducing the volume of exhaust air.
• Exhaust recycling reuses heat from the drying and cooling of grain, which cuts the fuel costs of conventional dryers when compared to dryers with 100% exhaust.
• Standard SPECTRUM® Electronic Temperature-Based Controller
• Optional QUANTUM® Controller uses “flat plate” moisture sensors on both incom- ing and outgoing grain to obtain precise control of the final moisture.
• Optional patented MOISTURE EQUALIZER® increases test weight and grain quality.
